The Tamara Coorg is well connected by road from different cities and towns. The last 4 kms of the motorable approach road to the resort itself is a part of The Tamara Coorg experience. The road has sharp hairpin bends, and offers a magnificent view of the Coorgi hills over a steep narrow climb. This public road is well developed and maintained by the resort.

Here are some of the most direct ways to get to the resort. There are big signs leading travellers to the resort from Virajpet and Madikeri till the resort.

From Kannur Airport | 2 Hours & 25 Mins

From the new Kannur airport, you will drive directly to the doorstep of the resort, through lush forests and beautiful hairpin bends that provide the most incredible views below! From Bangalore (Via Mysore) | 6 Hours

Bangalore – Mysore – Hunsur – Gonikoppa – Virajpet – The Tamara Coorg
Take State Highway 17 from Bangalore to Mysore.
From Bangalore International Airport to The Tamara Coorg is approximately 310 km
The journey will be linked with many attractions and historical places on the way like Ramanagar (where the famous film Sholey was shot), Channapatna (famous for wooden toys), Sriranga Pattana (King Tippu’s Kingdom), Mysore Palace, and the Ane Chaklu Elephant Camp.
Bangalore is well connected by all the major cities of World and India by air, train, and road. Travellers from Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai can fly in to Bangalore and have a pleasant road trip directly from Bangalore Airport to The Tamara Coorg!

From Mysore (Via Virajpet) | 3 Hours

Mysore – Hunsur – Gonikoppa – Virajpet – The Tamara Coorg
The Tamara Coorg is about 135 km from Mysore.
Mysore is well connected by train and road from all the major cities in south India. The drive is comfortable and scenic, leading through some parts of Nagarahole National Park.

From Mangalore (Via Madikeri) | 4 Hours

Take Mangalore – Bangalore National Highway 75 and a deviation in Mani to National Highway 275 to reach Madikeri. The drive leads through a stretch of the Western Ghats with the panoramic view of the mountains.
Mangalore is well connected with major cities of the western part of India by road, train, and air. Travelers from Mumbai can easily reach Mangalore by air, saving 2 hours of road travel to reach the resort compared to travel time from Bangalore.

From Kozhikode (Via Virajpet) | 5 Hours

Kozhikode is well-connected to countries in the Gulf by air and other cities in Kerala by train and road.
Take National Highway 66 till Chombala to take the Talchery – Virajpet – The Tamara Coorg road. A pleasant drive of about 180 km will be an experience mixed with both coastal and Ghat views, with a panoramic expanse of Western Ghats visible!
