What is the best season to visit Coorg?

Yes, we provide ample car parking space at the resort. Drivers accompanying guests will receive complimentary dormitory accommodation. Food is available at our staff cafeteria for a nominal charge.

The resort is equipped with basic paramedical facilities. In case of an emergency, the nearest hospital is approximately 27 km away.

We recommend a minimum stay of 2 nights to fully experience all the activities and amenities the resort has to offer. For a more relaxed and leisurely experience, a 3-night stay is ideal.

The roads leading to the resort from various entry points are in good condition. However, as Coorg is a hilly region, it is subject to rainfall, which can cause seasonal wear and tear, particularly during the monsoon. We recommend an SUV for a more comfortable journey.   • From Bengaluru: Take a bus from Bengaluru → Mysuru → Virajpet. You can book your tickets with KSRTC. Once in Virajpet, take a cab for the final leg of the journey to the resort.
  • From Mangaluru: Take a bus from Mangaluru → Madikeri, with tickets available from KSRTC. After arriving in Madikeri, book a cab for the final leg to the resort.
The Tamara Coorg offers five cottage categories: Luxury Cottage, Superior Luxury Cottage, Suite Cottage, Eden Lotus Cottage, and Accessible Cottage. The Luxury Cottage is ideal for a cosy nature-led stay with a private sun deck and valley views, while the Superior Luxury Cottage adds more space and panoramic hill views. The Suite Cottage includes a separate bedroom and living room, making it well suited to guests who want added privacy. The Eden Lotus Cottage features two bedrooms and a private Jacuzzi for a more expansive stay, and the Accessible Cottage is designed for specially abled guests with easier access and tailored amenities.

As per the resort policy, children between 1 and 12 years do not have access to the resort, and guests between 12 and 15 years must carry valid ID proof at check-in. Older children and teens can enjoy the resort’s nature-led experiences, subject to activity suitability and safety requirements.

The Tamara Coorg is well equipped for corporate retreats, leadership offsites, and business meetings. The resort offers versatile meeting and event venues with natural light, contemporary décor, and modern technology, all set against the Western Ghats. It is designed to support business events, team-building sessions, and offsite getaways, with corporate reservations requiring a minimum of five Luxury Cottages. 
The current policy states that no cancellation, amendment, or postponement charges apply if the resort is informed 7 days prior to check-in. If the request is made less than 7 days before check-in, 100% of charges apply. For bookings between 24 December and 1 January, a 15-day cancellation policy is in place. Refunds take 10 working days and attract 5% payment gateway charges.
