M) because of strike/harthal due to a local issue. Special thanks to Mr. Bala & Mr. Kaleeshwaran for informing us, as well as keeping our Suite ready so early.
An amazing property. Spacious, clean rooms, a big balcony. Great amenities. Each & every staff of the resort always had a pleasant smile on their face & greeted us whenever they saw us. There was a small issue with the heater in our room but was swiftly taken care of. The temperature controlled pool was very comfortable as the climate outside was quite chilly. The indoor activities include a T. T Table, Pool Table, Chess Board, Foosball. Talking about the food, the breakfast was good a spread,for lunch we had the Hyderabadi Biriyani was simply finger lickin' good. The dinner spread was not upto our expectations and we hope it improves. But i guess thats just a minor glitch. A very special mention about the service staff of La Provedence, especially Ms. Vidya for her courteous service.
We went for the Priest's Walk trekking route in the morning through the Shola forest which was simply great. Breathtaking views of the hills/mountains. Now we were accompanied by Mr. Syed Mohammed who is the Unique Guest Experiance Manager & it was really a unique experiance for us. He is very knowledgeable about the flora & fauna and also the history of Kodaikanal. He gave us a lot of interesting information, both historical & geographical. It was great fun. So dont miss the trek with Mr.Syed. Overall it was an excellent stay, great property, beautiful views, lovely decor.

The hospitality was so good starting from the entry to the exit. Mr. Kaleeswaran was always there to look after our needs and made sure we had a pleasant stay. The room was luxurious with wooden interiors with a spacious balcony attached from where one can have a beautiful view of the nature. Room services were very prompt and fast. Mr. Rajkumar from room service department taught us some fabulous towel arts, something we had never seen before. Coming to food, the bistro did a splendid job and served us with very delicious food. Although the drinks menu was limited, the drinks were good. I personally didnt like the dinner buffer that much, it could have been better tastewise but a variety of dishes were there to choose from. We went for our anniversary so they surprised us with a cake which was so appetizing and chocolaty that we carried it with us when we returned as we didn’t want to waste it.The most amazing thing about the resort is the temperature controlled swimming pool. What a bliss it was in the chilled and cold weather of kodaikanal ! Coming to activities, there were many enjoyable indoor games. They had many outdoor activity packages from which we chose for rainbow trekking and I swear it was the best thing and we had such a great time and experience going for it. Mr. Ravi who accompanied us showed us all the wild flowers and birds and detailed about those to us. He served us with coffee and some snacks near a waterfall and it was so pleasing to enjoy food in the lap of nature. Anyone who visits this resort should go for the rainbow trekking or else you will miss out the best part of the staycation. Overall it was a more than 5 star experience and we are definitely revisiting this place. And not forgetting to mention the surprise present they gave us at the end of our stay, it was really beautiful and thanks for it. read less

Everyone from the front desk clerks to the housekeeping staff especially #MAHENDRAN from F&B were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and cozy. Nothing fancy but we knew this going in and we were very happy with our accommodations. Location is definitely a huge plus, as we were able to walk to almost everything we wanted to see and do.
